Meet my Friend

" Draw near to God and He will draw near to you"  (James 4:8a)
It never ceases to amaze me:  the God who spoke the world into existence and holds it together, also knows me by name, calls me His child, and loves me enough to sacrifice His Son in order to have a personal relationship with me!      (Eph. 3:9b, Gal. 4:4b, 5b-7, 3:26, 2Cor. 6:17b, 18, Col. 1:16, John 3:16, Romans 5:8)

You, too, can be a friend of God and experience His mercy, peace, and blessing.   Knowing God by truly submitting to Him in trust is the most important experience of life. How wonderful that God reveals Himself to all who seek Him with their whole heart!

If you turn from going your own way and truly submit yourself to God, His Spirit will live in you.  Nothing will be able to separate you from His love as you trust His promises and follow Him in obedience.  He will be your God, and you will be His own treasured possession.  You will discover that He purchased you at great cost, and He wants to have fellowship with you--now and for eternity.

God's Way of Salvation
I need a Savior.  "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)        "But your iniquities have separated you from you from your God.  (Isaiah 59:2a)

Christ died for me.   "For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might   bring us to God"  (1 Peter 3:18a)

I need to repent of my sin.   "He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but he who confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy."  (Prov. 28:13)   Repent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out."  (Acts 3:19a)

I must receive Jesus by faith.  "But as many as received him, to them He gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."  (John 1:12)

I can be sure of my salvation.  "He that has the Son has life."  (I John 5:12a)  "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."  (John 5:24)
